My Favourite Doctor Who Quotes

As a whovian there are many times that I use quotes from Doctor Who in my everyday speech. Sometimes people don't realise I'm quoting Doctor Who and wonder what I'm on about, sometimes people just think I'm being weird! So I thought I would make a list of my favourite quotes and explain why they I like them.

"In 900 years of time and space, I've never met anyone who wasn't important". I have really struggled recently and have had a tough few years and this quote from the Eleventh Doctor never fails to make me feel better as I feel like I am important.

"The universe is big. It's vast and complicated and ridiculous. And sometimes, very rarely, impossible things just happen and we call them miracles". I like to think that I am a positive person, I like to see the good in things and people. Therefore this quote also from the Eleventh Doctor, always brings a smile to my face as I agree with it and it reinforces my positive outlook as you never know what is going to happen.

“You don't just give up. You don't just let things happen. You make a stand! You say no! You have the guts to do what is right, even when everyone else just runs away". This quote from Rose Tyler is one that I believe everyone should live by as it encourages people to be true to themselves and stand up for what they believe in.

"Do what I do. Hold on tight and pretend its a plan!". This quote always makes me laugh as although I am not overly spontaneous, I don't always plan things and just see what happens (I regularly turn up to brownies and when they ask me what game we are playing I make one up on the spot and pretend that was the plan all along!).

"Some people live more in 20 years then overs live in 80. It's not the time that matters, its the person". This quote from the Tenth Doctor, makes me remember that life is short and you need to live life to the full.

"Wibbly- wobbly, timey- wimey". This quote always makes me laugh and I use it when I am late. When people ask me why I am late and I say "Wibbly- wobbly, timey- wimey". They are normally just stocked and are too lost for words that they forget I am late!

These quotes show that Doctor who is not just good to watch for the adventures and aliens but for the message behind and it has helped me though many tough times and always puts a smile on my face whether it is a serious point or just a silly quote that just makes me laugh.
