I have been nominated by Bell and Bear to answer some Christmas related questions for the Christmas tag.
As I child, my favourite Christmas movie was always Dr. Seuss' How the The Grinch Stole Christmas. Growing up, I loved all the Dr Seuss books and was so excited when they turned The Grinch into a movie. It made me laugh so much and I still love watching it with Tilly as there are so many jokes that I never got as a child but laugh at now.
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Where do you normally spend your holiday?
As a child I spend most of my Christmases at my great grandmothers house however in recent years we have spend it at my mums house.
What is your favourite Christmas song?
Christmas music is one of my favourite things about the Christmas period however my absolute favourite song is Fairytale of New York by The Pogues.
Do you open any presents of Christmas eve?
Yes we are always able to open a present before we go to midnight mass.
Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Traditionally there are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixon, Comet, Cupid, Blitzen, Donner and more recently Rudolph has been added to the list. (I had to sing the song to remember them!).
Which holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
I am looking forward to being able to eat and drink what I what without feeling guilty!
Is your christmas tree real or fake?
Fake. We had a real one a few years ago but despite how many times we hoovered the living room we were still finding little needles everywhere!
What is your favourite holiday treat/food/sweet?
My mum grew up in Germany so a few years ago I was introduced to German biscuits and I absolutely love them. I always make a trip to Aldi to buy some at Christmas time.
Do you like giving or receiving gifts better?
I like giving gifts. I love to watch my family opening their gift on Christmas day.
What is the best Christmas gift you have ever received?
A few years ago I received a tour of Doctor Who tour of London. It was an awesome day out.
What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I think Christmas is about spending time with your family so my dream place would be where ever my family would be spending Christmas.
Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
I think I am good at wrapping presents and I really enjoy it.
Most memorable Christmas moment?
A couple of years ago Tilly got something from Santa that she had been asking for for months. She shouted and screamed when she opening it and was so excited. She made everyone laugh so much.
What made you realise the truth about Santa?
I don't understand? Santa is real!
What makes the Christmas special for use?
The atmosphere. Everyone is happier at Christmas time and Christmas music always makes me smile.
