Star Wars TIE Fighter Lamp review.
I am a geek and as a result I can be difficult to buy for. Although I say I will like anything related to Doctor Who, Super Heroes or Star Wars, that is still a very open idea. I have been asked to review a Star Wars TIE Fighter poseable lamp to show an example of what sort of thing you should buy a geek.

Ignite 2019: Empower~ Inspire ~ Motivate
Sometimes in life, it is hard to stay motivated. I know I sometimes struggle with having enough motivation and confidence to get up and really reach my full potential. Luckily my mum really gets me motivated to do things that need doing. She is an inspirational woman and she has been using this mindset for a few years now, this rubs off on my little sister and me.

My Plans for our Christmas Tree

What To Buy My Mum For Chrstmas
So as we reach the middle of November, Halloween is fully behind us and we are quickly hurling towards Christmas. In the blink of an eye the shops have put up Christmas stock, Christmas adverts are on TV and shops are playing Christmas music. Its got me in the festive spirit.

Tilly's first group sleepover
This week I mum planned on taking Tilly and a few of her friends to London for an exciting day out. We realised that they would have to get a train quite early in the morning and as many of Tilly's friends have younger siblings it was easier for all the girls to sleep over the night before. It was then when mum conveniently remembered that she had been invited for a night out to celebrate her friends birthday. So I was left alone as the responsible adult for Tilly's first group sleepover.

Our New Brownie Programme
A few weeks ago me and my friend, with whom I run my local Brownies with, went to our local GirlGuiding county day. This is a day where all the leaders from the county meet up and share ideas as well as attend a range of seminars which offer many opportunities including refresher training, networking and offering inspiration and new ideas.

Me and Tilly Visited the London Dungeons
Last weekend me and Tilly set off for London for a girly day out. As mum is on her annual trip to Turkey with her friends I decided Tilly needed something to look forward too to prevent her from getting upset about mum.

How to get ahead in social media
My name is Vicky and I blog at Miss Tilly And Me and Tillys Travelling Telegram, I have been a blogger for over 5 years and it almost becomes part of my life, sometimes if I don't blog, I get palpitations. My blog is my outlet for my rants and my happy times. Please pop over and take a look. Today though I am privileged to write a blog post about how to get ahead in social media.
Social media is a huge part of the internet now and we are all involved in some way. Whether you have Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Maybe you're a blogger like me and you use social media for work. But it's here and is here to stay! There is some form of etiquette to follow though when you use social media, after all, it would be so easy to annoy people with the things that you post. Hopefully, these tips will help you get ahead in social media.

Why im excited about the new Doctor Who Companions
As you may have guessed, I am a massive
fan of Doctor Who. As a child I used to watch random episodes of
Classic Who at my grandparents house and was overly excited by the
news of its return in 2005.

Start of a New Year at Brownies
This week we have started back at
Brownies. We thought we would have a fun and gentle evening this week
to ease ourselves into the new year.

The Shell Grotto in Margate
I live in Kent and although I think I
know my local area, sometimes it still surprises me. One such
incident happened a couple of weeks ago when we took the Brownies to
the Shell Grotto in Margate. Before another leader suggested it, I
had never heard of the Shell Grotto before and even after having it
explained, I still didn't really know what to expect.

Taking the Brownies for Dinner
Last week I was away at Brownie Camp,
we all loved it although there was a lot of work before. I don't envy
our camp chef who had a lot to do not only before we went but while
we were there. She made sure that we were all well feed so half way
through the week we decided to give her a evening off and to take the
girls out to dinner.

So I am back. I spent last week Brownies camp and after a few days of catching up on the lost sleep, I think I have fully recovered (or I quite possibly need another holiday!).

Im off to Brownie camp
So today is the day. The day I set off on my annual holiday with the Brownies. My suitcase is packed, the crafts have been organised and beds have been blown up.

when sharing isnt caring!
Growing up I was always told, sharing
is caring. It is a motto I always try to live by as no matter how
little I have, there is always someone with less. However recently I
have had to re-evaluate my views after my caring mother decided to
share her infection with the whole household!

The fair comes to town.
This week the fair came to town as it
was carnival week. I love when the fair comes to town, it is only
small with about a dozen rides but it gives us an afternoon of fun.
The fair comes every year and is usually here for about a week and a
half and most people love it.

How has Technology Altered the Way we Gamble?
Gambling has been around for centuries. There is evidence that even as far back as the ancient Egyptians par took in gambling. When I was a child, you were only really able to gamble in a registered betting shop or arcade. However over time technological advancements have made their way into the gambling world and how influenced the way we gamble.

Taking the Brownies to Soar
Last weekend I took my Brownies to a sleepover at a trampoline park. We attended Soar in Gillingham. Now I know what you are thinking. Why would anyone do something so crazy?! But both me and the girls had an amazing time and we are already planning on making it an annual event.

Ways To Save Money Everyday!
My name is Vicky and I blog at www.misstillyandme.co.uk and www.tillystravellingtelegram.co.uk, I write about many things from travel with Tilly to everyday life and mental health. Please pop over and take a read.
Today I am writing about ways to budget, in January this year, I decided that I was wasting too much money and looked for ways to start saving it, the little money saving here and there, soon adds up and here are a few tips to start with.
Always shop around
If you're looking to buy something big, make sure you shop around, you can usually price check on different websites and compare the prices. Also look at other services that are included in the price of the product that you're buying. Is Delivery included or will they take the old appliance away (if that's what you're buying)? Many websites have online exclusives and discounts too. Even with your weekly shop, it might be cheaper to shop around. Most of the supermarkets offer incentives if you shop with them, like loyalty cards or they price check for you.

Joining in the fun of the royal wedding
At the beginning of this term, I asked my brownies what they wanted to do this term. During planning we set aside a couple of weeks to have meetings where the girls have chosen what we do. They had many ideas but ultimately requested an evening where their brought in a bear and had a fashion show.

Another year older
This week I have become another year older (not sure if I can say I am any wiser though!). I decided to have a quiet birthday this year. Previous years I have been to Lego land, A Doctor who experience and afternoon tea at Harrods. However with mum going on holiday this year and and the fact my birthday was on a Monday, nothing was planned.

My Little Pony Competition
Growing up I loved My Little Pony and so I was so excited when they re-launched the series in 2010 with a new animated TV series called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic as it meant that Tilly would be able grow up with the series as well. Just like me, she started watching it and fell in love with it.

Jamie Oliver's Cookery School
I love cooking although I don't get as much time as I would like to spend in the kitchen and some of the time it is easier and quicker to buy preprepared meals. And the idea of letting Tilly help me in the kitchen, well it absolutely terrifies me.

Organic Shop Hair Products
I not really a girly girl. I don't normally worry about what hair products I am using. As long as it says shampoo, I am happy. I am not especially attached to a particular brand and normally I will look at price rather then ingredients.

The Bank of England Museum
I do love a good museum. When we go to London, we do always consider going to a museum as they are free and really interesting. They are also very close together so you can do them in the same day. They make a fantastic day out and the kids are learning while having fun.

What Should you Keep in Your Car for Emergencies?
Sponsored post
These days approximately 75% of
households have a car and although we don't like to think about our
cars braking down or getting into an accident, but sadly sometimes it
happens. On occasions, these accidents or break downs are
unpreventable and all we can do is deal with the consequences.

Our Family Trip to Brighton
Last weekend me and my family went for a day out in Brighton to celebrate Tilly's 8th Birthday. Brighton is quite an awkward place to get to from where I live so it's not a place we visit often so it made a nice change to the normal places we visit.

Being Leader in Charge at Brownies
Every week I help to run my local
Brownies group. I am not the Brown Owl of the pack, but I am second
in command and known to the girls as Otter. This week our Brown Owl
phoned me the day before Brownies to let me know she is unwell and
unable to attend this weeks meeting. Meaning I would be leader in
charge.

Minion Edition BeanBoozled Jelly Beans
This
week, me and Tilly were excited to receive a packet of special minion
themed BeanBoozled Jelly Beans. Jelly Beans have always been a
favourite in my family and we love Minions so this seemed to be a
perfect match.

learning about this term.

I Dragged My Bestie To Brownies
As many of you know I volunteer as a Brownie leader. For 2 hours a week (and for a whole week in August!) I play games, do craft activities and teach general life stills to girls between the ages of 7 and 10.

How was your Christmas Day?
I spent this Christmas Day with my mum and sister. Because we had attended midnight mass, I was hoping for a lay in. However I was promptly woken at 8am. Mum claims it was Tilly that woke everyone up but personally I believe it was her!!
