Review of Bomb Dot Com Glitter palette

Well 2020 has thrown us another curve ball. Just as we were all getting back into our routines, we are put into a second lockdown. And although I am not denying that it is needed and will hopefully ensure that we are able to see family over Christmas, I just don't like the fact that we have to do it.

When we come out of this second lockdown we will be in December. Which means it will be the run up to Christmas and for many, the beginning of party season. Although this year may be slightly different, with more smaller gatherings as opposed to larger parties, most of us will still get the opportunity to glam ourselves up. And lets face it after having to cope with a second lockdown who doesn't deserve the opportunity to add a bit of sparkle.

While looking online, I came across Jolie Beauty. They are a cosmetics company made up of high experienced make up artists who have come together to produce high quality and unique products for both professional make up artists and make up lovers.

I ordered the Bomb Dot Com glitter eyeshadow palette and was impressed when it arrived. The palette was wrapped very well with a layer of bubble wrap an cardboard ensuring no damaged occurred during delivery. The outside of the palette looks very luxurious with its sparkly protective case. On the inside of the palette there is a mirror for ease of application or for on the go touch ups.

When I opened the palette I was amazed at how sparkly and vivid the colours were. When I first saw the colours I let out an audible 'ooo' as was impressed by the sheer amount of glitter before me. In this palette there are 24 different colours and therefore there is a colour that matches most outfits.

When I am dressing up to go out I tend to favour blues so my personal favorite eyeshadow is a dark blue called 'Seabed' as I feel this would suit me. Matilda however commented that she would like to try 'Showgirl' which is a shade of dark pink. There are also some colours that are more subtle to better suit a more toned down occasions.

The palette is made using cosmetic standard glitter and therefore is safe to use on the face and eyes but although this palette is refereed to as an eyeshadow palette, there is no reason why you cannot apply to other parts of the body making this palette perfect for festivals. The glitter did seem to stay on my face and hand however you can use this palette with a primer or setting spay and it may last all day.

I particularly like Jolie Beauty products because the whole company is cruelty free. They do not use animal hairs in either their make up brushes or their false lashes. Not every product is vegan (they have ingredient lists on their website so you can check before you buy) but they are all cruelty free, nothing is tested on animal and they favour vegan products where possible. As a vegetarian, this is important to me as I usually have to check the packaging or make up products. Their Bomb Dot Com Glitter EyeShaddow Pallet is vegan.

I am really looking forward to coming out of lockdown and getting dolled up with my new glitter eyeshadows. At £27.99, I would definitely recommend it as it would make a perfect gift or to treat yourself.
